How many kiddos can you count?  Its birthday party day! Laurissa's birthday was at Seattle Gymnastics Academy and was a complete blast!  The kids had a fun time in this giant foam put for around 15 minutes before heading to a big obstacle course and other activities.  The party room was huge and we had such a good time with the kids running around in there between cupcakes and pizza (thats right... dessert first, not quite on purpose but that's alright :)

Miss Laurissa is getting some pink sparkly toes! Birthday celebrating isn't quite over yet and she got a little pampered for her birthday party tomorrow. Was a bit tricky for me to figure out how I was going to do gel toes on a little girl, this ended up being the best way without a doubt! iPad over the UV lamp playing Netflix kiddie show keeping her still during the whole process :) Regular polish stays for about 24 hours on her so we just don't even bother. This however should be good for weeks (if she leaves them alone!)

Maddy gave Laurissa this watercolor set and Monday we painted for a few hours and created lovely artwork - one will be framed for her room! Today it looks sad and dried out but ready for another go... probably next weekend.

Little miss L typing on her new keyboard that hooks into the tv. Its her "my first computer". We gotta get some games for it though, the poor thing is no good without the games to go with it - the 4 "built in" are pathetic. Christmas is soon right??

Huge apartment fire today as I was leaving to pick up L from school. There are 50 people now homeless from this fire and over 3 million in damages. None died, but if it had been night there would have been a problem, as most had alarms with dead batteries.... so here is your friendly reminder check your batteries!

Ok so when I started this blog I seriously did not consider that life would get too busy for me to keep up! And I was so good about posting before I went to bed up until May! I must I must get back into that routine!  At least I'm still making sure I shoot the pictures. :)  I must get through the year!

Alright enough kicking myself and on with the pics!. Today the remains of Laurissa's birthday are in our living room. As you can see she is QUITE into princesses, especially "Cinderellie". Grandma gave her this tent and she immediately asked for it to be popped up first thing in the morning.

Happy Birthday Laurissa! She turned 3 today and it was a big fun day of firsts! First haircut, first movie and first fondue! (perfect dinner for a 3yr old who likes to dip EVERYTHING and loves cheese!). Was a very fun day, she wore a special princess dress for it all and announced to EVERYONE it was her "birfday" and she was "ftree!"   Lots of great photos taken... but in the end what mattered most is that it is her birthday... I love the look on her face here, she's such a big girl now.   (In case your wondering, its a candle my mom lights on birthdays as decoration... she did a great job blowing it out.)  And thank you to my friends and family who help love and care for this little munchkin!

Another Laurissa photo (its birthday week!). Today she started the morning finishing up cupcakes to take to the friends in her class and the teachers made her this awesome crown for the little party! Of course she thought she was HILARIOUS wearing it like this... too bad you can't hear serious laughter in pictures.

In a neighborhood where we have twice as many new houses for sale than neighbors, a sign like this is exciting!!

This is a very exciting daisy to come up in my garden! I've planted tons of stuff the last few years and not much actually comes up, but these "crazy Daisies" did. ;)

I can't believe its already August! Doing this blog certainly has made the year go by quickly. Today we celebrated Lucas's bday - one of L's friends. And his very cool colorful mowhawk needed a bit of recognition!
