This kitty is about 20 years old. I sometimes look at it and wonder what it would have been looking at. In Europe I discovered I loved sculpture, when I was little I saved up to buy this for myself, I guess passions start young!

Half moon. Took some tinkering with speed to get detail, a bit of clouds made the moon glow quite bright. Miss L LOVES the moon and enjoyed being outside with me for awhile so she could just stare at it in awe.

Given as a gift last spring by a friend visiting town, this cool dried bouquet of peppers, flowers and garlic was stunning when fresh (you can get it at Pike's Place when in season). They say the spices from the peppers last a year so I still have months to go. Any recipes anyone??

So it's not taken with my nice camera, but rather my iphone since I didn't have my cam with me. At the doctors, today L decided she was "workin" and got herself up on the chair and started playing with the mouse. Very cute. Maybe future nurse? Who knows...

I did Sabrina's nails today with Flamingo & Aurora Apricot. They were beautiful! Then I realized the Poinsettia (still alive) behind her was the same colors.  I guess it was serving as a muse without me knowing it.

Today we went to Marcus's birthday party. His mom had these fabulous bags as goodies for the kids! This was Miss L's and I thought to myself... "this is the first of MANY frogs you will see in your life princess!" Well that and the colors were fun :)

These fabulous tulips were a wonderful gift from my mom today!  I know you've already seen a lot of nature stuff but if people keep giving me flowers you'll see them a lot more (and I won't be complaining!).   Just couldn't pass up getting a picture of these beauties... and I love how after tweaking the lighting a bit I got the light pink one to glow without internal shadows.  Thanks mom!!!

This is actually a poinsettia that we have had at the salon.  Its the most interesting color for a poinsettia, I didn't know they came in such a different shades!   Its been living beautifully for over a month but I'm sure will be gone soon... so it deserved a photo.

This is a goodbye pic to Sholla leaving town until August.  We did some fun black tips with pink glitter on it - this girl has killer nail beds!  Wish I would have done a few more shots to make sure there was more clarity on the nails but I had a client waiting :)  Have fun in Indiana Sholla!

A female pine cone.  Actually all of them here are.  In fact all pine cones you consider "pine cones" are female.  Where are the males?  They are the tiny little orange/red bits that you find all over the ground.   I bet you just learned something new!

My Christmas tree is about to come down and I wanted to get a picture of Laurissa's new ornament with the beauty of the tree in the background. She went to Disneyland for the first time this last year, so this is Cinderella's carriage from the castle! I also wanted the twinkle lights to really twinkle so I did a 2 second exposure.

These roses are a New Years gift from my best friend Sara. I love the curled edges of the orange ones, the size of the red ones and the tight yellow ones. I absolutely love flowers and my guess is you will see many of them over the next year.
